Each corporate team has a distinctive organizational culture. Simba Group of companies is no different. We pride ourselves on being a hospitality powerhouse and ensure that even our employees get to sample our hospitality services. We call it team building, and both the employee teams and the hotel visitors reap direct benefits from the ensuing positive attitude engendered by team building activities. I, Jacqueline Githinji, a team member from Kenya, know this first hand.
Covid ensured that physical team building activities were put on hold. When the pandemic finally abated, I was elated to learn that I would be travelling from Kenya to Uganda for a team building session. I would meet colleagues that I had only interacted with virtually. We would do rope challenges, boat rides, and sample different foods paired with Waragi gin. I would then spend the rest of the day enjoying the hotel facilities and the great service at Skyz Kampala.
Skyz Kampala is a five-star property renowned for its great architectural design, lush lawns with beautiful green views of the surrounding city, coupled with personalized service. I would enjoy all this first-hand, and would completely steep myself in the business and leisure traveler dynamic. My teammates ensured I felt at home, with the same warmth they bequeath all our clientele. The meals were varied and delicious that I was not ready to leave after my two weeks visit.
But all good things come to an end. In no time at all, the team HR manager, Mr Kusain would organise my send-off lunch. I was glad to enjoy the hospitality that all our guests enjoy when they book with us. I can honestly say that I cannot wait to be back to Skyz.
