HER Working Women

HER Working Women is a warm community for African women building careers, businesses, and lives of meaning, rooted in Kampala and growing across the continent. Founded by Dr. Nataliey Bitature, Chief of Staff at Simba Group, HER brings together founders, executives, artists, scholars, mothers, and makers in a community of women in motion.

Come As You Are, Leave As Her

HER was built on the belief that for too long, the rooms where decisions are made have been small, and the doors heavy. HER exists to open those doors, and to build new ones, measuring success not in followers but in futures changed: a dinner of twelve, a correspondence between two women who would never have met, a scholarship paid for in full.

Programs

Every month, HER hosts a themed meet-up and dinner covering real topics women navigate, from managing relationships to personal branding to investing. The Sisterhood connects members nationwide for mentorship and introductions. HER Sacco, a women-led savings and credit cooperative, lets members save at their own pace, borrow at favourable rates, and finance business assets, with annual profits returned to members under one-member-one-vote governance.

Community and Partners

HER has grown to a community of over 5,000 women, financed more than 600 women through HER Sacco, hosted over 100 events, and built partnerships with organisations including Mastercard-backed initiatives, UAP Old Mutual, Prudential, Global Shapers Kampala, and Protea Hotel by Marriott Kampala Skyz.
