Simba Telecom was founded in 1998 by Patrick and Carol Bitature on a simple belief: communication is a right, not a luxury. It was built on the founding principle that distance would no longer silence conversation, halt commerce, or separate communities.
Growing Across East Africa
Simba Telecom partnered with MTN Uganda at launch in 1998, then expanded to Tanzania in 1999 through an exclusive partnership with Vodacom, and to Kenya in 2000 through Safaricom. Within three years, it had become a tri-nation telecom distribution force.
What Simba Telecom Does Today
Simba Telecom has evolved from a mobile phone retailer into an authorized partner for global handset brands including Samsung, Tecno, Itel, Infinix, Nokia, Vivo, and HMD. It operates over 20 stores across Uganda, offers a "Take Now, Pay Later" flexible payment program, and provides after-sales support and warranty repairs through dedicated Service Centres in Kampala, Mbarara, and Ibanda.
Having distributed more than four million devices across the region, Simba Telecom remains the cornerstone of the larger Simba Group, guided by the same values of integrity, innovation, and commitment to the customer that started it all.
