Project 500K is a dynamic job-skilling initiative dedicated to enhancing youth employability in Uganda's hospitality and tourism sector, empowering youth aged 18 to 35 with hands-on training that promotes employability and career advancement.

Holistic Empowerment

The program offers industry-aligned training, job placement, and personalized mentorship to help young people secure fulfilling roles and grow professionally. Project 500K believes in holistic empowerment, supporting youth not just with technical skills but also soft skills, financial literacy, and access to networks.

Cohorts and Partners

Project 500K has run through multiple training cohorts, progressing thematically from "Pioneering Success" toward an upcoming cohort focused on "Innovation and Global Perspective." The program is backed by partners including Mastercard, the Private Sector Foundation Uganda, and Protea Hotel Kampala, and describes itself proudly as "a product of Simba Group."
