HER: Empowering Women in Leadership and Entrepreneurship
In Uganda and across Africa, the call for women's empowerment is growing louder. At Simba Group, we believe that real transformation begins with intentional action. That's why Dr. Nataliey Bitature, Chief of Staff at Simba Group, founded HER, a bold, purpose-driven initiative designed to elevate women into leadership, entrepreneurship, and influence.
HER is more than a program. It's a movement. Under Dr. Nataliey's leadership, HER has become a thriving community of ambitious women who are supported, mentored, and equipped to rise. Rooted in the Ubuntu philosophy, "We are because you are", HER reflects Simba Group's belief that when women rise, entire communities rise with them.
Why HER Was Created
Despite making up over half of Uganda's population, women remain underrepresented in business, leadership, and decision-making roles. The barriers are real: limited access to capital, mentorship, and networks. Dr. Nataliey saw this gap firsthand and envisioned HER as a platform to break those barriers and build a pipeline of empowered, confident, and capable women leaders.
What HER Offers
HER connects women with experienced mentors from diverse sectors, energy, hospitality, telecom, and education among others. Its leadership workshops build essential skills like strategic thinking, negotiation, financial literacy, and public speaking, while its career coaching and community events foster collaboration, peer learning, and long-term relationships.
As our founder, Dr. Patrick Bitature, often says, empowering women is not charity, it's smart economics. At Simba, we don't just support women. We invest in them.
