Looking Ahead: Simba Group's Vision Beyond 2030
Twenty-five years after a single retail shop in Kampala, Simba Group's leadership is already thinking about what the Group looks like another twenty-five years from now. The early signals are visible in where new investment is going.
New Frontiers
Simba Group has secured licenses and investments in mining, gold, tin, tungsten, and iron ore, while deepening partnerships in oil and gas exploration. At the same time, the Group is laying foundations for logistics hubs to serve East Africa's growing trade volumes.
Clean Transport and Green Energy
Electric vehicles and clean transport solutions are an emerging focus, alongside the expansion of green energy projects through Electro-Maxx. Both reflect a belief that the next wave of African infrastructure will need to be lower-carbon from the outset, not retrofitted later.
Feeding a Region
Large-scale agriculture, through Simba Farms, is being scaled specifically with regional food security in mind, a long-term bet that food systems will be as strategically important to East Africa's future as energy and connectivity have already proven to be.
The Constant
Whatever the next frontier, Simba Group's leadership maintains the same test applied since 1998: build something that lasts, and measure success by more than the balance sheet.
